Skipadoodle Privacy Policy

This explains how the Skipadoodle Android app handles your data. Skipadoodle is published by Bonufied Pte Ltd ("Bonufied", "we", "us"), a company registered in Singapore, and this policy is written in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

In short: Skipadoodle keeps your stations on your phone, and analyses the radio audio on your phone to tell music from talk. The audio is never recorded or sent anywhere. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we run no server that receives your data.

Last updated: 5 October 2026.

What the app stores on your phone

  • Your list of stations (name, stream address, logo address and basic details such as bitrate, language and country) and the order you put them in.
  • The last station you played, so it can resume where you left off.

This stays on your phone. We do not receive it and cannot see it. It is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Listening to the audio

To skip ads and talk, the app analyses the audio it is playing, using a small model that runs entirely on your phone. It looks at short slices of the stream as they play and works out whether they sound like music or speech. The audio is not recorded, saved or sent anywhere, and the app never uses your microphone.

Location (optional)

Skipadoodle never asks for your location when it opens. Only if you tap Near you in the station search, and grant approximate location, the app reads your phone's last known coarse location once, to work out which country you are in so it can list popular stations there. The location is not stored and is not sent to us. Your phone's own location service may use an online service from your device's provider to turn those coordinates into a country; that is covered by their policy, not ours. Only the resulting country code is used by the app. If you decline, everything else works.

What leaves your phone

WhatWhere toWhat is sent
Finding stationsThe community Radio Browser directory (radio-browser.info)Your search text, or a request for popular stations, and the country code if you used Near you. No account or device identifier.
Playing a stationThe broadcaster's own stream serverA request for the audio stream. Nothing else.
Station logosThe broadcaster's or directory's image serverA request for the image. Nothing else.

Like any internet radio player, the services above can see your device's IP address when your phone connects to them, and that you are listening to that station. Some broadcasters only offer unencrypted (http) streams, so the app allows them; for those, the audio is not encrypted in transit.

Notifications and your car

While a station plays, the app shows a standard media notification with the station name and track title where the station provides one. If your phone is connected to Android Auto or a car's Bluetooth, the system passes that same station and track information to the car's display. This happens between your phone and your car; we do not receive it.

What we do not do

  • We do not have accounts, so we hold no personal profile of you.
  • We do not show ads or run analytics, crash reporting or tracking.
  • We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

Children

Skipadoodle is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

Because we do not receive your data, there is normally nothing for us to correct or delete. You can remove everything the app holds at any time by clearing its storage or uninstalling it. If you want to ask what we hold about you, or raise a concern, contact us. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. Significant changes will be reflected here with an updated date above.
